This page is to support, encourage, and inspire your individual journeys with your relationship with your body.

One of our missions in addition to working with our one-on-one nutrition and body image counseling clients is to bring our larger audience consistent support and inspiration through our content that is accessible to support your body image journey. This journey is hard. It can be isolating, scary, confusing, and just downright UNCOMFORTABLE. Support is needed. And we want to be that consistent support for you.

BODY IMAGE

Like our relationship with food, our relationship with our body is not tangible. It's not something that can be understood prescriptively. Our relationship with our body is immersed and intertwined with our relationship with ourselves. This makes it fascinating, difficult, and super nuanced.

We will always be navigating and working to understand our relationship with our body that will forever be changing. It is a process of hard work and introspection. One person’s journey with their relationship with their body cannot be replicated and applied to another.

Side By Side is working EXTREMELY hard to bring an inclusive body image course to everyBODY


We all have a body and we all have a relationship with our body, and although this is an important and impactful relationship in our lives, it is also something that is hard to understand and navigate. So when it comes to this idea of “body image” work, you may not know where to begin, how to wrap your head around it, and how to start the process.

So when setting out to help folx I thought, how can I create a resource that is helpful in a way that everyone can take away a better understanding, connection, and awareness around this complex relationship. I wanted to make a safe and inclusive space to explore this very unique and never-ending journey of body image. That is where our body image course and workbook comes in. This course is one that can be applied to your individual journey. It will provide you with an opportunity for not only education but also to learn from different people’s lived experiences and voices. It will include interactive videos, stories, tools, and other engaging content but moreover, it provides a framework for you to reflect, learn, and apply this content to YOUR unique journey, wherever you are.
