Side By Side Nutrition is hiring outstanding Registered Dietitians for full-time in-person and remote positions. In this role, you will provide evidence-based nutritional counseling over telehealth to patients with eating disorders and disordered eating. Side By Side handles the insurance billing and provides the patients to you — all you have to worry about is being the best nutrition counselor and showing up for your clients.

Job Description

We are looking for full-time dietitians to join our growing private practice both in person and virtually! 

Side By Side specializes in providing individual counseling for eating disorders in adolescents and adults, utilizing evidence and strengths-based approaches from a Health At Every Size, Fat Positive, and social justice lens. We look for a dietitian who is anti-racist, social justice-minded, and ready to be a part of a dynamic, fun, and collaborative team.

 

What does SBSN provide clinicians?

SBSN will provide client referrals, onboarding clients, marketing, electronic health record, insurance billing capabilities, EHR , insurance billing, training, group and individual supervision, CEUs, and training, support, and more.

What is SBSN’s ideal candidate?

The potential candidate needs to be a licensed registered dietitian nutritionist in the State of Colorado (RDN) preferably with training and experience in treating eating disorders and working with adolescents and adults. An ability and interest in providing family or group nutrition therapy services would also be a plus. The dietitian’s responsibilities would include providing individual counseling sessions, billing for each session and collecting payment, maintaining appropriate documentation in Kalix (EMR) and care coordination, and attending one team meeting each week.

The ideal candidate would work well in collaboration with a team, be interpersonally comfortable and warm, and be interested in a long-term position within a growing, supportive private practice. Professionalism, excellent therapeutic boundaries, cultural competency, self-motivation and self-awareness, and good organizational and time-management skills are essential. Candidates who value independence yet can be respectful of leadership, who practice continued education and professional enrichment, and who can maintain a peaceful, quiet environment and respect the space would be the ideal fit.

The ideal candidate will also be credentialed with Cigna, Aetna, and United HealthCare (and/or other insurance companies). The direct will assist with the credentialing process as needed.

What are the Duties and Responsibilities?

  • Provide nutrition counseling to clients and complete all administrative and record-keeping activities in a timely manner

  • Ability to treat adolescents and adults and interest in specializing in eating disorder treatment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in computer use for documentation, scheduling, and other job duties

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries

  • The ability to see an average of 23 clients per week

  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required

  • Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Side By Side Nutrition

  • Respond to patients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc., or through the SBS's website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such patients

  • Communicate with a patient’s treatment team as necessary

  • Timely complete written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time to time by SBS. Keep patient files accurate and up to date

  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by SBS

  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of SBS. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers

  • Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn

  • Other duties may be assigned
