Braelen is absolutely amazing! Before working with her through Side by Side Nutrition I had tried to receive help for my specific needs and it never seemed to get anywhere. I began to think maybe I was the issue until I was introduced to Side by Side. Braelen truly listens to what you need in the moment and helps navigate through all the changes. I am forever grateful and can truly say she has helped me into full recovery. I absolutely recommend to anyone seeking help!

I can't say enough good things about Braelen Hunt! I am so thankful to have Braelen in my corner. She is super knowledgable, kind, compassionate, and insightful. She has enlightened me to think about health in a totally different way, advocate for myself with doctors, and learn to trust myself and my body again. The glass has been shattered on diet culture, she's taught me that there's no shame about living in a bigger body, and there's no going back. She grieves and celebrates with me as I learn to heal my body and mind from the havoc diet culture has imparted. She sends resources, gives me space to process emotions, and will follow me down what I think is a totally irrelevant tangent - and then magically connects why it's totally rellevant. Braelen makes our sessions feel like I'm just chatting with a friend, which makes the vulnerability required for recovery easier to be open to. She's unlike any nutritionist you've worked with before, and you'll love her as much as I do!

Braelen Hunt changed my life forever! Her personality and compassion made me feel so welcome and safe enough to really explore the wounds I have and how to heal them. I also love the collaborative spirit of Side By Side with their willingness to share and help each other as well as training themselves in the best therapeutic practices. In fact, I just referred one of my closest friends to Braelen!

Side by Side Nutrition was an excellent tool to help me heal from my restrictive eating disorder. I RECOMMEND 100%. Helped me more than therapy. Specifically, I have to give credit to Braelen Hunt, who was the catalyst that made me want to recover and gave me the motivation and tools to do so. Braelen showed me that life has so much more meaning than just looks, dieting, and exercise, and that I wanted to recover. She was patient, understanding, and demonstrated an interest in me beyond what was just professional. I confided in her, trusted her, and she educated me about proper nutrition and talked me through my toxic thoughts around body image. I am so grateful to Braelen for helping me during my recovery and for being more than just a dietitian, but being my friend also. At Side by Side, my biggest wins include understanding how to feed myself, why I ALWAYS deserve to eat, the medical side effects and risks of throwing up and restricting food, and why life should be lived with food freedom. I was on a meal plan for a while, very personalized, and helped me balance out my hormones and weight. Nowadays I get support from Instagram influences/Youtubers like Bree Lenehan, Ella Daisy, and Ro Mitchell. I also have friends that I can speak to if I am having a bad body image day, and my parents. AND! I relapsed into Bulemia for a short time last year and I scheduled one meeting with Braelen and after one meeting I felt better. My biggest piece of advice for people struggling with Eating Disorders is that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Side by Side nutritionists are educated, kind, and want to see you succeed. I promise you that life is way better being recovered than living with a life threatening mental illness. ED recovery is a process, but one that is manageable, worthwhile, and difficult. P.S. If Braelen's amazing personality isn't enough to make you see her, maybe the free snacks, clothing exchange, and cute decor in her Fort Collins office will.

Braelen was very supportive and helpful in my goal to gain weight 2 post- surgeries. She offered many suggestions for restoring my weight that I was unaware of. She is very knowledgeable about all aspects of nutrition and how the body functions with various nutrients. I recommend her wholeheartedly!

This has honestly been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had when it comes to nutrition, healing, and handling my eating disorder. The staff here are wonderful and well-informed, so much so that I learn new things about myself every session. I’ve gotten so much needed hand wanted help and I plan to continue being a client here for a long time! Braelen is especially wonderful if you get the chance to work with her!! Thank you for all that y’all do at Side-by-Side!

I referred my client to work with an ED dietitian, and was very fortunate to have them find Side By Side Nutrition and Ms. Hunt! The intake process was smooth, as my client shared she felt heard about her expectations for care, and limitations with regards to her budget. Once she started to work with her dietitian, my client said she felt heard and was supported in her goals. I was able to collaborate in the case and was copied the resources that were shared with my client, something I found extremely helpful in our work together. My client met her goals, and I plan to continue recommending this program.

Working with Side by Side Nutrition has changed my relationship with food, body image, health, and my body as a whole in a positive and affirming way. Starting the journey was made easy as my RD prioritized meeting me where I was at in the journey and building a strong relationship. I have seen so much growth in my self by working with them. I would recommend everyone take the leap and start this work with Side By Side Nutrition.

We have enjoyed working with Braelen! Coming in to this process we didn’t know what to expect but she has always made us feel as ease but also accountable for doing the work. She has been tireless in her support as well as helped us understand ourselves in a whole new way. I don’t know where our family would be right now without her support. She’s been a godsend!

I am a therapist in Fort Collins and Side by Side Nutrition is a place I entrust with client referrals. The dieticians at Side by Side have done an impressive and thorough job coordinating care with mutual clients. The clinicians that I have worked with are compassionate, have a good understanding of mental health, and are trauma informed. I have greatly appreciated the work they do and have witnessed my clients make significant progress when working with them.

I am so thankful that I was recommended to Side by Side Nutrition after my time in Residential, PHP, and IOP treatment for an eating disorder. My previous dietician here and my current one, Braelen Hunt, have been incredible working with me throughout the last year virtually and being supportive of what I need. I have had negative experiences with dieticians before but Side by Side has always been a safe place I can go to and express what is going on with me/ ask for help. Highly recommend them.

Our adult daughter has an eating disorder—ARFID and has been working with Braelen Hunt at Side-By-Side in Fort Collins. Braelen has been a fantastic provider and an important member of our daughter’s clinical team. She has helped our daughter to address depression, self-esteem issues and ADHD that are major part of her eating disorder. We would highly recommend Side-By-Side to individuals and families that are dealing with an eating disorder.

Three years ago my adult daughter and I were searching for an outpatient dietitian she could transition to after leaving a higher level of care treatment center. Side By Side Nutrition was recommended to us. I will forever be grateful for that recommendation because it led my daughter to Kymber Stephenson who has been a game changer in her story and in mine. She is an exceptional dietitian…to say the least. Kymber’s scope of knowledge is truly incredible. She is smart, funny, gentle and kind. We are lucky our path crossed hers. Her instincts and intuition have been both life changing and life saving in ways that it is hard to find words for. I am excited by Kymber’s brilliant work and feel grateful for any human that gets to heal under her care.

Working with Braelen at SBSN has been a life-changing experience. I came in to SBSN panicked because my health metrics were out of ideal ranges and I had gained 120# post ano. I wanted someone to give me a list of rules and restrictions to make my body look and perform the way I wanted it to, but Braelen provided a much-needed perspective shift. Instead of taking my thoughts at face value, Braelen challenged my thoughts and helped me uncover parts of myself that I had never known through deep introspection and self-compassion. She also provided nutritional guidance that was backed by solid research and tailored to fit my lifestyle. Before I started here, I felt like I was at war with my body. Now, I feel like my body is an important and valuable part of who I am.

Your quest ends here; you've landed in the perfect place. Whether you seek dietary assistance or have been advised to do so, these are the individuals you've been searching for. They will support you along your path to recovery, standing by your side or holding space as you contemplate embarking on this journey. After struggling for years in a dark place and feeling hesitant to try again, my experience with BRAELEN HUNT over the past year has been transformative. Braelen's expertise, compassion, non-judgmental attitude, and dedication have been invaluable. She not only provides nutritional guidance but also imparts wisdom on self-worth. empowerment, body image, self- love, connection, and ADHD. Thanks to her I have discovered that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and I am not alone. Her support has been instrumental in my recovery journey offering a perspective that resonated with me and made me feel secure and safe. With their help, there is optimism and they will guide you towards it!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Erika. We've been working together for almost 3 years, and every time I have a session with her, I learn something new about myself. Erika's trauma-informed approach has helped me feel safe and supported as we've navigated my disordered eating. Only 5 stars? I give her 100.

I cannot say enough about side by side nutrition and especially my dietician, Kymber Stephenson. My experience with her has been unmatched with all my previous dietitians (kymber is my seventh dietician for reference). She was a great guide for my last transition from PHP/IOP to outpatient care. Not only is she an exceptionally creative troubleshooter, but she also understands that a one size fits all approach is impractical and often detrimental when working with such complex beings. We all have unique histories, support needs, and can be seeking help for a lot of different reasons. I personally am recovering from an eating disorder, have chronic illness, and am neurodiverse. Kymber considers the full picture when working with me so these are not seen as separate parts of me and my care, but, instead, used in consideration with both so that my support needs are integrated into my care and no holes are left for things to fall through. I have found this, in my experience, to be extremely unique to Kymber and Side By Side Nutrition. She also has helped bridge the gap between my ED care, support team, and other medical professionals i am currently working with (as an adult client) which i can say with certainty would have been overlooked by most other dieticians. All of that to say, no matter who you are, Kymber will have new ideas, insights, and resources that are unique to working with you. She is creative, passionate, and cares deeply for her clients, and all of that paired with a brilliant mind makes for some magic. Whether we spend our sessions talking about diet culture, food myths, weight stigma, meal planning/prep ideas, or navigating recovery in a fatphobic society… we have left no stone unturned and that for me that has been game changing. I have answers for the “whys” no previous dietician has been able to give me or even entertain quite frankly. These questions have lead us to science corners, history corners, and resources that have been essential in my personal eating disorder recovery journey. I will forever be grateful to Kymber and the team at side by side and cannot recommend them enough. February of this year marked my third full year in recovery <3 and i’m looking forward to many more :) Thank you Kymber for everything you have done for me!! Your impact is felt and treasured.

I have been working with Braelen Hunt for a little under a year now. I didn’t know what to expect when I started, it was actually pretty nerve racking. But I found a lot of help with the fact that not only do we go over exposures and coping mechanisms for my ARFID, but she also helps find ways to manage ADHD among other things. She recognizes how connected those things can be and how both can feed off of one another. We have gone over a lot of ways to meal prep and simply managing to exist in the world with ADHD. I also feel no judgment from her even when I share things I would consider weird or embarrassing. We have worked on ways to meal prep and simply make attaining food easier and it has really helped. I meet with her virtually and she has taken time to look into resources near me that I can use and look into. Since working with her I have seen improvement in how I view food and how trying new foods has become less terrifying. When I don’t manage to reach goals we set for myself, I never receive criticism or judgment from her. Instead she tries to help figure out how we can make it easier for me. The times when my self-judgment starts to show up, she shuts it down gently.

I was referred to Side By Side Nutrition by my therapist. I was really nervous when it came to looking for a nutritionist due to having a lot of trauma surrounding food as well as weight. So when I decided to find a nutritionist I knew I needed a trauma informed one. My nutritionist is Jessica and she is amazing! She never makes me feel judged for my food trauma or any of my struggles with food and such, which is a wonderful experience in and of itself. I have made some great strides in feeling into my eating habits and it has helped limit my emotional overeating as well as boredom snacking. Both of which are huge wins for me, especially when I have really intense emotional days! I highly recommend these nutritionists for anyone needing trauma informed help, and they also help you incorporate your current tools from other things like therapy into your progress which is wonderful! If you need help with anything nutrition wise but are scared to take the first step, I highly suggest starting here where they will put you at ease!

Braelen Hunt is a fabulous dietitian who prioritizes the whole person in nutrition counseling. She goes beyond the food to address the social determinants of health (e.g., financial stability, trauma), leading to a more holistic and validating experience for clients. I'll be continuing to refer therapy clients to Braelen with full confidence in the care they'll receive.

I'm in a bigger body and suffer from BED and ARFID. I also have ADHD which impacts my eating disorders greatly. Braelen has been great to work with. I have never been shamed for my body size or told I need to go on a strict diet. Instead I'm supported for who I am and am learning to embrace all parts of me.

Having had the pleasure of sitting in on some of the events Kymber helped run, it is clear to see the level of intention she put into creating inviting, welcoming, and nonjudgmental collective spaces. Not only is Kymber informative and caring, she does so in a way that celebrates personalized care and specificity of peoples needs and wants. Her values are extremely strong and compassionate and it shows in her work. I have also seen the dramatic difference she has made in my sister’s life in being someone that made her feel heard and seen as a provider, which unfortunately is rare. Thank you to Kymber, you are one of a kind and your work has had a massive impact on the wellbeing of my family. I am forever thankful.

I feel so grateful that I was able to find Kymber and work with her for the past nearly two years. She is kind, empathetic, and truly listens to what I have to say. Working with Kymber has been incredibly meaningful for me and I would highly recommend her and the Side By Side team!

Braelen is amazing! I appreciate the boundaries and ability to goal set so that I stay on track and feel so validated and seen by her. Side by side offers a lot of great resources — I would definitely recommend.

I see Kymber at Side by Side Nutrition. I didn't think I had a problem and resisted seeing a dietitian for literal decades despite my therapist's doggedly persistent suggestions that I should do so. It wasn't until COVID lockdown that my health spiraled hard enough that I relented, and on my therapist's recommendation I called Side by Side Nutrition. I realized shortly after that I had no idea what it meant to see a dietitian despite thinking that I did. It was nothing like I had seen on TV shows or the advice I had gotten at my doctor's office. At Side by Side, I get treatment for my eating disorders which involves... every aspect of my life...including food, a therapist, a coach, and a food specialist all in one. The fact that in November I went to a Side by Side support group about the Barbie movie... and it was an amazing group and it covered so much from nostalgia to social commentary to body and food issues is just what I expected from a Side by Side sponsored group. And it was only one of many amazing groups in November. Since beginning treatment with Side by Side, I have become a warrior against diet culture. I send my dietitian my Facebook rants against the very beliefs I, myself held for so much of my life. With my dietitian, I tackled (am tackling) probably the hardest battle with myself that I have ever faced... the one I most want to give into, the one I least wanted to challenge or even believe was a problem. My eating disorder is so entrenched and complex and pernicious... but I have continued treatment with my dietitian willingly and even look forward to seeing her because she has made me able to hate (at times) treatment while always feeling connected, supported, and loved by her. She is authentic and warm and kind. She laughs with me, discusses social issues with me, let's me rant about the state of the world, and somehow continues to make all of that turn into progress against my eating disorder. So... for anyone like past me. It's possible that you don’t know everything you need to know about nutrtion. It's possible you aren't doing fine. It's possible that some of the things you are struggling with that you are SURE aren't about your relationship with food and exercise might actually be entirely about your relationship with food and exercise... And it is absolutely possible for someone to rigorously challenge your most deeply held, entrenched beliefs and somehow also be one of your favorite people to see each week. 6 out of 5 stars. Would absolutely recommend. Life-changing.

At the tail end of 2023, I really wanted a change in my life but was unsure how to implement it. My nutritionist has provided a safe and empowering space to discuss my fears, goals, and lifestyle. With grace and patience, my nutritionist has given me the tools to recover from disordered eating. I recommend them to anyone, ranging from athletes to a general person like me seeking a safe and educational space to discuss food.

The support, encouragement and growth Braelen has provided to our family member has been tremendous. I would highly recommend Side By Side Nutrition and Braelen Hunt.

Cannot recommend SBS enough! I've been with Kymber for 3 years (with no plans to stop anytime soon) and she has impacted my recovery more than anyone else in this long, long journey. So much love for this place and its people (especially Kymber)!
I worked with Sara virtually and it is not dramatic to say that she changed my life for the better. My relationship with food, health, comparison, control, etc. were all improved through our conversations and activities. I was able to clearly describe my goals and Sara always kept me on track. Her sessions always made me feel safe, heard, and even had me laughing a good amount of the time. If you have been on the fence about getting help worried that you won’t find the right person, ask for Sara and you’ll wish you did it 5 years sooner like me.
