Sara studied Food Science and Human Nutrition as an undergrad and also holds a Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Throughout her education, Sara fell in love with nutrition science and gained a growing appreciation for the various factors that influence our nutrition status including access to nutrition information, socioeconomic status, culture, environmental sustainability within the food system, and so much more. It was in her graduate education that Sara’s passion for exploring food and body politics, diet culture, intuitive eating, and disordered eating blossomed.
As a Registered Dietitian, Sara provides size-inclusive, non-diet, intersectional, and identity-affirming care. Sara takes an empathetic, non-judgmental approach to nutrition education and counseling. Practicing from an All Foods Fit approach, she assists clients in dismantling the rules of diet culture, unlearning shame and guilt associated with food and body, and learning to reconnect with our body while honoring its nutritional needs at various stages of life. She strives to meet clients where they are in their nutrition and/or recovery journey, supporting them in developing necessary skills and/or tools to empower clients. Sara is honored to walk alongside clients throughout their unique nutrition journey, supporting them along the way with compassion. Sara believes in taking a holistic approach, addressing the whole person.
Whether you are looking to heal from disordered eating or you are hoping to find nutritional balance for your individual needs, Sara provides evidence-based, person-focused nutrition therapy and aims to create a safe space for all.
