Kymber is registered dietitian nutrition with a primary passion, of inclusive eating disorder management and prevention. She works with clients to truly fall in love with food again, acknowledging not only its nourishing properties, but truly embracing its comforts, tradition, and fun! Working in a client-guided manner with a Health at Every Size approach, she strives to help each unique person reach their idea of peace and satisfaction in their bodies and their overall lives.

Kymber Stephenson’s experience began with a love of food which led her to pursue a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University. As her love of science and helping people wove with that initial path, she continued on to a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Nutrition with a dual concentration in clinical dietetics and culinary food science. Always having one foot in each the food and nutrition sectors, her work and volunteer history includes roles as a chef in the Disney College Program, intern at Morrison Healthcare Test Kitchen, instructor with Cooking Matters, allergen-friendly personal chef, recipe developer for Occasions Catering, dietitian assistant at Children's Hospital Colorado, dietetic intern at MSU Denver, and most recently lead dietitian at Citrus Pear Dinners. Due to this diverse range of experience, she has acquired numerous specialties, including (but not limited to) pediatrics, maternal-fetal medicine, community nutrition, oncology, allergy management, medical nutrition therapy, and collaborative care.

Kymber's primary passion, however, is inclusive eating disorder management and prevention. In this vein, she focuses on educating clients about the multi-faceted ways history, marketing, food systems, culture, psychology, and body image affect health and relationships to nutrition, food, and body. Recognizing the complex, sometimes painful associations brought on by these challenges, she works with clients to truly fall in love with food again, acknowledging not only its nourishing properties, but truly embracing its comforts, tradition, and fun! Working in a client-guided manner with a Health at Every Size approach, she strives to help each unique person reach their idea of peace and satisfaction in their bodies and their overall lives. Kymber's philosophy is that all people deserve equitable access to quality food and evidence-based nutrition education, regardless of status or background.

In her spare time, Kymber enjoys yoga, cooking, wine, and taking infinite photos of her new kitten, Lily. When not exploring all the outdoor activities beautiful Colorado has to offer, she is an avid traveler who looks forward to visiting the two remaining continents on her bucket list in the next few years. Kymber is thrilled to grow with Side by Side Nutrition and our clients every day.
